2000 Johnson LMG were acquired by the US armed forces in WWII; of them, 500 ended to the First Special Service Force, and the remaining were used by the USMC.
The Johnny Gun it was a light (6 kilos), well appreciated, powerful and reliable weapon.
This uniform was typical of the last phase of the war. The camouflaged clothes were put out of service, and furnished to rear area troops, or mixed with green garments.
