Thanks for the comments. Always a pleasure to participate in contests and for this one I went for something very unusual. I have been working ona group of figures of the Spanish American War that I hope to post later this month.
My French is not too good, but I believe there was a question about the rifle. It is a modified American Civil War era rifle. They called them "trap door"and it allowed the old rifles to be loaded from the rear with the appropriate ammunition. These types of weapons were mainly used by volunteer troops as the regular US Regiments used mostly the Krag rifle. The famous Rough Riders (Volunteer Cavalry led by later President Ted Roosvelt in Cuba) used a carbine with this trap door system.
Thanks again for making me feel at home!
