Here is another simple foam base...this time representing a typical Netherlands city street w/sidewalk...
I developed this one to display some of my 'Arnhem' bashes (both British and German-the figures displayed aren't finalized yet-I'm using them for 'scale' purposes here)...
I wanted to do a 'classic' brick/cobblestone street with poured concrete sidewalk...this size fits some of the wall sconces I'm using to mount the figures on the wall for display
I do want to try some 'circular' bases for 'free-standing' display; a larger base designed to display a couple of figures will have a part of the trolley/tram rail a few feet away from the sidewalk and parrallel...
again, the bases and sidewalk are carved from builders' insulation foam, painted and weathered with acrylic paints, detailed with dirt and 'leaves' punched from real leaves...

Excellent work, the base is very realistic, no detail has been overlooked. The colors are particularly well made and this reinforces the authentic appearance of the scene.
