Gettysburg, July 1863
At the Battle of Gettysburg, the regiment supported Maj. Gen. John Geary's division on Culp's Hill on July 3. In this battle, it suffered only minor losses, and primarily remained in reserve.

HS is from SST with the skin area repainted with enamels, after a base coat of dullcoat.. Uniform and equipment all from BGT except the water bottle, backpack (with new custom blanket roll, bayonet (with BGT frog) and musket from SST. Cartridge box was converted to be strapped to belt. Extra strap material used for belt with added BGT US buckle. Cross insignia of the Sixth Corps in blue(3rd Division) added to the zouave tunic.
Small 23 number is from Slater's Plastikard, an outfit in the UK that Tony Barton recommended. Numbers and letters are for model train signs, of course the font is not accurate but they are the only small numbers and letters I have been able to get…Thanks Tony!
