First headsculpt repaint attempts

Hello all,
I finally tried my hand at some HS repaints...the techniques I'm trying are really more 'washes' than actually repainting from a completely stripped sculpt...
I'm trying to develop water-based techniques that will let me alter the skin tones and 'deepen' features that I feel are lacking on some factory painted sculpts...
Here are some shots I took late last night...with a little perspective...
I mounted the other three heads on a 17th SS PGD bash (that has a different HS ) which didn't have the HS permanently mounted...
These are all DML HS's...sorry, I don't know the names of these...I do think the 'big ear' guy is 'Arthur Barnes' and I've been told the US Paratrooper officer is 'Elmo Freytag' (sorry, he's staying a US paratrooper officer-he was my first HS swap/bash...'Dan Summers' is somewhere in my parts bin)...he's a sentimental favorite US trooper now!
